Make your own

Salad dressing, Bread, Fries, etc. Make it, it usually tastes better!

Buy Used, Save the Difference

This has echoed in my head for quite awhile. Think of how often you "saved" money on a deal, but did you put the money into your actual savings account? If you're like me, you didn't. See if you can buy something used that is just as good as the new one and then put the difference in cost between the new and used one into a savings account. Watch it grow!

Generic and Store Brand

If it's something like TP and you don't have a problem with the quality, then buy the generic if it is cheaper. If the store brand is something that you like, buy it and save.

Share

Share things with friends and family. Magazines, toys, yard tools, tools, etc. This will save you and them some money.

TV

Think about if Television is worth having. Do you work to pay for it, do you get to enjoy it, and do you need all the channels? Get basic cable for the local channels and subscribe to Netflix for around $8 to watch television shows, movies, and documentaries all streamed to your tv with a device (mine is the wii) and watch an unlimited amount! This will save a good bit of money. Basic cable is under $20 and then just $8 for Netflix

Water

Take a water bottle with you when you go anywhere. Flylady has some great and inexpensive stainless steel water bottles. Water shouldn't cost anything.

Coffee Habit

Drink coffee at home.
